The Society for the Study of the Early Modern Transpacific
A society founded on April 5, 2024 at Princeton University, designed to foster the study of the space (social, political, economic, etc) that emerged from the sailings of the Manila Galleon, and that extended deep into colonial America, East and Southeast Asia, and beyond. It is open to anyone interested in any aspect of the history of that space during the sixteenth through eighteenth centuries, in any field of study. This form adds your name and email to the list of potential members. Respond if you’re interested, or just curious. The interim director of the society, Ricardo Padrón, will be in touch.
